The New Comfortable

Who likes being comfortable? Who likes being stylish?  Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to be both at one time??? Cue the wide leg side stripe track pant! This has to be one of my favorite trends for the season and has really been around for a little while now.  The wide leg pants in general are one of my favorite silhouettes but sometimes dress pants can be uncomfortable on my body type. I have a smaller waist to hip ratio so the waist gap is real sometimes.  With these pants there usually isn’t an issue because most have and elastic waist.  AND I mean let’s face it they are track pants!

We all know that joggers have been a thing for a while.  A way to kind add a little something to your casual outfit.  Well with the success of the jogger comes the wider leg side stripe track pant!  You can find them with a drawstring waist like the ones I have on here or there are more dressier versions with the clasp waist closing.  Styling the track pants can be a little tricky however if you are trying to actually dress them up it’s surprisingly easy.  Let’s remember that some of these pants are actually sweatpants so we want to avoid making them look as such, unless that’s look you are going for.  This also makes these pants so versatile! Who doesn’t love a piece of clothing that can worn so many ways.

Here are a few ideas in you are looking to try this trend for yourself! I don’t think you will regret it.

  1. Pair them with a dressy blazer and tank as I’ve done for a date night look.  Menswear has the tendency to be sexy!
  2. How about pairing them with a chunky sweater and boots. This would be a great look for the workplace.
  3. You can also do a graphic tee, leather jacket, and a pair of great heels to add edge to your look.  Some track pants can look a little tailored and I love mixing those two looks!
