One Moto Jacket, Three Ways

I know I know.. It’s been such a long time since I’ve blogged.  I guess 2 weeks is a long time in blogger time.  But I’m back! I took a little vacation to California for a week for some much needed rest and regrouping.  Every one needs a short break from time to time.  I had an awesome time with my mom and cousin! Every time we get together it’s nothing but laughs.  I did discover something about myself while gone.  I’m not a tourist… per-say.  I don’t like visiting tourist attractions! Is that weird?  I would much rather go around the city to the outskirts, like where the locals hang out.  Less crowds and less hooplah!  I want to see what the place I’m visiting has to offer.  In LA on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was so crowded and congested I really felt like I wanted to scream.  Then I was over it in like 5 minutes.  I mean once you’ve seen one star you’ve seen them all right?  Any way I still had a great time and it was my first trip to California! I would definitely visit again but next time on a more low key vibe!

On to more fun things! Let’s get into this post! If there is another essential piece everyone needs in their closet it’s a leather moto jacket!  Just like the denim jacket it goes with EVERYTHING and it’s the easiest way to cover up problem areas, spice up a boring outfit, add edge to a girly look and more importantly still look cute while trying to stay warm on cool spring and fall nights.  I’m not gonna tell you guys how many black jackets I own but I added this mustard color one because… why not! I loved the color from the moment I saw it (I think I’m drawn to yellow these days) and I truly loved the structure.  From the belt around the bottom to all the zippers, I just thought this jacket was a must have and I want to show you guys how versatile it can be by styling three different looks!  This particular jacket is from Eloquii and has since sold out.  I mean I couldn’t get this post up fast enough before it did guys!  However Eloquii does still have the black version here !  I also found some other fun options below!  Not only does everyone need the classic black moto jacket, it’s also great to have a variety of colors and shapes.

Casual Girl

Pairing this jacket with this girly dress may seem odd to some but if you’ve read any of my posts you guys know that is one of my favorite things to do! I love edging up dainty pieces so when I saw this dress I immediately thought of chucks and this leather jacket.  Why not right???  We all know ruffles are in right now and one trend I told you guys I was going to wear out but also stripes are making their way as a top spring trend as well! I think I would wear this look to a casual outing with friends.

Edgy Chic

This look has a little more rock style to it.  I would wear this outfit to a night out on the town for date night or girls night out.  I paired the jacket with a graphic tee and this velvet midi skirt.  Oh and let’s have a moment for these bold red lace pumps and finishing the look off is this statement black and white bag!  I think this one is my favorite!

Classy Lady

For this look I wanted to give a more cool sophisticated vibe.  It’s my version of what I would look like in the Hamptons! This striped collar shirt offers up a very smart look and pairing it with these great mules and colorful clutch sort of adds a playfulness to the outfit.  Wear this to brunch on a Sunday or any day event you might be going to!

Let me know in the comments if you guys want to see more 1 piece 3 ways posts.  This one was especially fun because I got to work with a great photographer named Tenneal from .  She was awesome and can’t wait to work with her again!

    1. Thanks Gwen! Depends on how you want it to fit. I usually buy my size unless I want to wear sweaters or thicker material with the jacket. Most of the time my moto jackets are to be “cute” or add something to my outfit so I would like it to be a tighter close to the body fit. I would say judge on whether you are getting the jacket for function vs a look.
